Prepping for the iPhone 11 Pro with Spigen

Welp… I decided to get the iPhone 11 Pro. Initially, I wasn’t going to do it. I mean, my iPhone X is only two years old. But then I started considering how poorly my battery life has been, and how I’d love to have the additional camera lens for shooting photos and video. And it also helps that Apple offered me $400 to trade in my current device. So I went ahead and pre-ordered the iPhone 11 Pro in space gray, with 64GB of storage.

Now, I know what you may be thinking. Why replace your phone when you could just replace the battery? 64GB for $1,000, seriously?! I will get to my reasoning behind the upgrade when I do my iPhone 11 Pro initial impressions video this weekend. So be sure to come back! Instead, this post is to talk about the two products I purchased right away in preparation for the new device. I’m talking about the Spigen Liquid Air Armor case and Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector. I should note that this is not a sponsored review. I just happen to really like Spigen’s products. Alright, now onto the review. I’m linking the video I did for our channel and will post my thoughts after the break.

Spigen Liquid Air Armor Case for iPhone 11 Pro

I ordered the Spigen Liquid Air Armor Case for my new iPhone 11 Pro for a few reasons. First, I’ve used this type of case in the past and was very happy with the protection and style. Second, the price was certainly right. Third, as much as I like the “naked iPhone,” I do not want to run the risk of damaging my investment.

This case has a slim, form-fitted feel to it and is very lightweight. It features an anti-slip surface and some shock protection. The manufacturer notes that the Liquid Air case adds only 0.15 inches to the depth of the phone. Another great feature of this case is that it does not interfere with the wireless charging capability of the iPhone 11 Pro. I found that this case did not make my device feel heavier and it fit well inside my pocket.

Spigen Tempered Glass Screen Protector for iPhone 11 Pro

In addition to the case, I decided to pick up some screen protectors. I always wanted to avoid using these, since I had this odd feeling that it somehow interfered with my enjoyment of the display. When I moved over to these protectors for my other devices, it didn’t feel like there was a protector on at all. Sure, you could see the protector but when the screen was on you still were immersed in the visuals and not focused on the protector. I also hate having those tiny scratches from keys and coins in my pocket.

This particular screen protector is made with tempered glass and includes an alignment and installation kit to avoid bubbles and other visual flubs when attempting to install it. The protector surface also has a fingerprint resistant coating to help avoid smudges from everyday use. When you order this, you get the installation kit and two of the protectors. As I stated above, I have found these protectors to be affordable, durable, and unobtrusive. If you follow the instructions correctly, you won’t really notice the protector is there. The real value here is that you get more than one of these in the pack.
