This gaming mouse is billed as a “tunable” mouse, meaning that you can adjust the weight of the mouse to fit your play style. The mouse comes with five 3.6g weights that can be added or removed on the fly. Furthermore, you can “tune” the mouse to your play surface to give better performance if you are using, let’s say, a Logitech mouse pad or a wood surface. Additionally, the mouse features 11 programmable buttons (through the Logitech Gaming Software or in-game) and in-game DPI shifting.

After using this mouse for quite some time I am a pretty big fan of it. The on-the-fly DPI switching has always been a big draw to me and this mouse does not dissapoint. I have it set up for 400, 1000, 2000, and 3500 DPI. Normally I game at 2000 DPI, but if I’m driving a vehicle in Battlefield, I will up it to 3500. On the flip side, if I am sniping, I’ll use the DPI shift button to go down to 400 and then immediately back to my 2000 once I release the shift-button (love this feature).
The blue LEDs give a nice aesthetic appeal; however, I would have liked to see customization of the LEDs to better go along with my red theme. Additionally, the hyper-fast scroll wheel is a great touch. Normally, the scroll wheel is in “gaming” mode allowing for crisp, clicky scrolling through weapons or options. With a click of the “release” button, the scroll wheel is in “free” mode and will scroll through pages of documents in a flash.
Overall, this mouse is probably the best one I have used in a long time. Logitech has really given the Razer Deathadder a run for its money (in my opinion) and the price point is sweet enough for any gamer to give it a try.
